Our Funding
The Sawston Cinema Archive Project is happening because of the generous support of The Heritage Lottery Fund (HLF), which has awarded a grant of £24,900 to Sawston Village College to allow young people to research the history of cinema in Sawston. Support has also come from our partnaer organisations Sawston Village History Society, the Sawston Archive Group of the Cambridgeshire Community Archive Network and the Cambridge Film Trust, all of whom have offered expertise, assistance and time to help students.
Sawston Village College is also providing important support through the use of school premises and equipment and through making staff available to work on the project.
