Come and See Our Film on July 7th

On the 7th of July we are showing our own film, one that we made with our hands, brains and brilliant acting skills.

We (the actors and actresses) are proud that we made our own film with encouragement from the Cambridge Film Trust, professional film makers and the Sawston Cinema Archive Project. We also have a specially composed soundtrack from former Sawston student Tom Curran – you can listen to the main theme here:

Pete Harmer has been giving us advice and help on how to improve our work. Without him we would not be able to make such a good and educational film.  So if you would like to see us at work on the big screen, come on the 7th of July at 6:30 to see our wondrous film. (We know it’s great – we have seen the preview!)

Coming Up: Wall-E and Man on Wire

Our next two screenings at the Sawston Cinema offer excitement, passion and danger, though only one will make you laugh too.

On Tuesday May 19 we will be showing Wall-E, the tale of a robot that spends its time trying to clean up a polluted Planet Earth, while on Tuesday June 9 we’re showing Man on Wire, the astonishing story of the man who put a tightrope between the two towers of New Yorks’ World Trade Centre.

Both films start at 6.30pm, and tickets can be bought from Sawston Village College reception during school hours,  by calling Lesley Morgan on 01223 712825 or by emailing lesley@start-arts.org.uk  Tickets will also be available for sale on the door.
